Kindergarten through Grade 5
From kindergarten through fifth grade, Laurel Hill students are nurtured as individuals and challenged as scholars. These are the years when foundations take root — in reading and mathematics, in curiosity, and in the confidence to try something difficult.
Small classes and experienced teachers let us honor each child's pace, style, and voice. Our program educates the whole child: intellectually, socially, emotionally, and ethically.
Curriculum
Literacy, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, taught by teachers who adapt to each child's readiness. Students move from phonics and word knowledge into literary analysis and critical inquiry, write across genres, and keep portfolios of their work.
STEAM
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics — lived, not lectured. Students engineer prototypes in our award-winning Outdoor Classroom, design scale-model cities in Architecture Lab, and practice Mindfulness to steady their focus.
Art, Technology & Music
Enrichment that stretches minds and bodies. Students build digital literacy and coding skills from kindergarten, research in our sky-lit library, and express themselves through art and music.
