Developing the Next Generation of Engineers
Think it! Plan it! Do it!…Would you like to design and program a robot that can transfer nuclear waste? Or are you interested in designing a robot to collect soil samples from a distant planet?
Camp Robotics engages campers in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) enabling them to solve authentic design and engineering problems in countless different ways. Using mathematical concepts and engineering principles, boys and girls, brainstorm, plan, test and modify sequences of instructions to accomplish a given challenge.
Campers work in teams to complete projects and engage in real world engineering problems. Touch-screen Laptop Labs and digital sensors aid our Laurel Hill S.T.E.M. scientists experiment with design and programming to craft their robots, in their very own way.
Camp Robotics instructors are teachers who are professionals in their field. They provide opportunities for campers to learn new skills and explore new interests while engaging them in exciting activities. Campers build confidence in their abilities as they meet new challenges each day. Group Leaders and Counselors provide sensitive assistance and support to campers in every aspect of Camp Robotics.
We believe in a well-balanced camping experience for all our children!
