|  Discovery Camp
THE CONCEPT & PROGRAM
Discovery Camp is for boys and
girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade who are thrilled
by variety and adore everything new. A Discovery Camp day
is bursting with sports, arts and crafts, drama, music,
gymnastics, swimming, nature, games, gardening, computers,
Native American crafts, tennis, and more. Discovery Camp
is a warm and encouraging setting of good friends sharing
good times. Qualified instructors guide Discovery campers
in every activity. There is always something for everyone,
and everyone delights in their Discovery Camp adventures!
SWIMMING
Swimming is an important part of summer fun. Discovery Camp
incorporates a Red Cross program to assure that each child
receives quality instruction. Two daily swims for fun and
learning.
ATHLETICS
Discovery Camp athletics is a comprehensive program conducted
by professional staff in a noncompetitive manner. Instruction
is given in all sports at the level of ability of the individual
child. Our sports include: Gymnastics, Basketball, Hockey,
Tennis, Soccer, Track and Field, Adventure Games, and more.
ART, Music, Drama & nature
The vigorous day is balanced with art and nature. Our staff
instructs in techniques that make each child’s work
personally satisfying. Arts and Drama include: Graphic Arts,
Crafts, Ceramics, Jewelry Making, Theatre, Music, computers,
farming & Gardening too!
"ON THE ROAD" WITH DISCOVERY CAMP
Superb trips. All at no additional cost. Some of our travels:
Roller Skating, Aquarium, Theater, Bowling, Stony Brook Museum
and many more.
