The Laurel Hill School is a vibrant
learning community dedicated both to excellence in education and
to improving the quality of individual student life. With helping
hands, Laurel Hill encourages students to initiate journeys culminating
in the establishment of individuality.
What is the outcome of
a Laurel Hill education?
The achievement of top academic performance is certainly a standard
for each student, but learning how to achieve shares equal importance.
We invite critical thought, welcome creative leaps, and encourage
passion in learning and doing.
We strive for our children to grow confident as they encounter new
challenges and to be responsible in the choices they make. Openness
to life in all its variety, enthusiasm for caring and reverence
of friendship and peace are cherished values at Laurel Hill.
Class Structure & Individualized
Study Opportunities
Every grade at Laurel Hill employs a small-class size model to enable
close student and teacher interaction, promote individualized studies,
and to encourage independent learning. An educational assistant
is assigned to each class. Classes also visit specialists –
teachers who instruct in one discipline such as physical education,
languages, computers and technology, and more.
It Takes A Family! . . .
Parents at Laurel Hill
Laurel Hill advocates a partnership in education between parents,
students, teachers, and administrators. LHS encourages parents to
share their thoughts and insights and to work in friendship with
their childrens’ teachers. There are also many ways to be
involved in the daily life of the school. You may choose to join
a committee, volunteer your help, become a "class parent",
and more.
