Let your imagination run wild and be creative.
SciTech members will identify, research, design, and conduct science, technology or engineering projects. Under the guidance of a mentor, you will be directed through a path of exciting discoveries as you develop your project and prepare to present it at the Long Island Science Engineering Fair.
Winning projects will be entered in the National Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge!
WHY DO MY OWN EXPERIMENTS?
SciTech presents many potential avenues for fun you can grow on…
Never had the opportunity to explore a fascinating subject such as astronomy, physiology, zoology or any other "ology”? Now’s your chance! You can explore a topic that you feel passionate about.
You can contribute to workable solutions for problems that affect your community. In the past, students have become inspired to find answers to needs currently affecting their lives. For example, one student whose grandmother was ailing with bedsores designed special bed linens that would soothe these painful wounds.
You can experience the thrill of real discovery. A SciTech project allows you to gather evidence and see results right before your eyes! Then you may elect to pursue your research even further.
